WHAT  IS NOD? - You think you know, but you have no idea
NOD is Wiess College's annual costume pasrty, the Night of Decadence, which is always held the weekend of Halloween (Saturday, October 29). Now in its 34th yea, NOD has had many faces over the years. It originally began as a bring-your-own-mattress party called "Rites of Spring." By the mid-eighties, NOD had evolved into a huge themed costume party open to the Houston public. It was at that time that it made Playboy Magazine's list of top ten college parties in the nation. Over the years certain traditions were phased in and out and the party became what it is today - one of the most FUN and SAFE times you'll ever have at Rice!

NOD SCHEDULE - Know what's going on
    • Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct 24 through Friday, Oct 28 1PM
    • Party is Saturday, October 29 10PM - 2AM

 SECURITY SIGNUP - Get Involved
This year, Malcolm Eckel and Frank Arnold, a Wiess junior and Wiess sophomore (respectively), will head NOD security. They will assemble a security task force between 85 to 115 persons that will be present at Wiess College and checkpoints around campus to enforce the alcohol policy and ensure the safety of NOD attendees. WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you are interested in signing up for the party, please e-mail Malcolm (meckel@) or Frank (jfarnold@). It is required for each security member to work all four hours of the party, but it is A LOT OF FUN! We have a headquarters set up for you guys at Wiess with food, drinks, entertainment.. also.. FREE T-SHIRTS!
