Welcome to Wiess! The freshman moved in today, and O-Week has begun! Look for new photo additions throughout the week! Also, look for additions from our photographer and videographer!

The server has been upgraded to a new level of php! What's this mean for you?

Probably very little at this point

I'm hoping the results of this escapade will become much more apparent fairly soon, now that I've stumbled back into a working internet connection. While away, I had an alum point out that the history pertaining to the infamous jack involving Willy's statue is incorrect and needs to be corrected according to the information provided at the 20-year anniversary last April. I also know that there is an issue with the Secretary accessing the Wiess calendar. I hope this will soon be resolved - until then, we have a backup calendar that we will use for the time being...

Calendar functionality has been restored. Expect our elected Secretary Patricia back from Scotland to work out its functionality and so forth soon. Added events will come soon after that, and for those interested I will provide the proper RSS feed to pull from.

The RSS feed function for the site relies on a few extra tools that currently will not integrate with the site. I've contacted the appropriate administrators to see what we can do in terms of changing our permissions. Look forward to a much more easily integrated site!

The listsrv functionality has been designed. I will probably put it into action tomorrow. That means that sometime close to nightfall, the main page could get really ugly, really quickly! - but don't worry, I have a backup! And with regards to the announcement below, just know that the Team Wiess website will continue to be updated with information from the O-Week Staff as fast as they can give it to me!

Regarding the Status of the Forums:

The forums will be temporarily disabled until after O-Week. In the meantime, you new students should continue to use the facebook groups run by the O-Week committee to ask your questions and voice your concerns.

Welcome to all of those new Wiessmen who are trying to figure out what this college "with a lot of spirit" really is. We'd have you look at the information contained within this site, but more importantly, on the document so masterfully crafted by your two O-Week Head Fellows, Bova and Alex! Don't bother printing this out - you'll be getting one in the mail soon enough! Also, for those of you with Facebook, the group listed in the entry below is what they would like you to join - it is the official group! Those of you without Facebook... might want to seriously consider getting a Facebook, as its an important part of networking.

And of course, we also have the Forums if you find yourself wanting to chat it up.

Overall, the site is coming along nicely! We will be implementing the RSS Feed system which will pull right from the Wiess Calendar, and then working on the listserv management system

Backend linking has been finished. There are plenty of things that need to be done still - but O-Week should be completely done by today, and the new manual available to download.
